A multifaceted role focusing on guidance, information, and assisting students through the process of selecting educational products or services that best meet their needs and results in a sale to the organization and reaching a dream to unlock the potential in our students.
Each student advisor needs to have a curiosity in asking the right questions in assessing the students' needs and an innate hunger to reach the targets of the business and achievement of their role's sale targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Marketing Targets
Self-Lead, internal motivation, and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs, daily, weekly and monthly.
Foster a good balance in achieving the number of intents and number of sales to achieve the overall sales target.
Provide guidance, support, and information to students in order to build trust so that we can ensure the success of the student.
The ability to focus on the end-to-end relationship of the customer / student journey to ensure a streamline sales process.
Have a strong work ethic to come up with different strategies and ideas in reaching targets or team ideas for team collaboration or performance.
2 Customer Service
Ability to build a trusting relationship with the student so that the students may unlock their potential and select the right course for them
Answering queries and deliver on the student relationship through timeous response rates.
Create excitement in the student by explaining in what way the course can help to unlock his/her potential.
Collaborate with the Sales Manager / Team Leader to set sales targets and align with the team goals with overall departmental objectives.
3 Sales Systems
Create follow ups on the sales journey and manage the lead through from intent to closing.
Capture accurate information on the webreg form and make the necessary notes for accuracy and customer relationship building.
Ensure Quality calls in giving the right advise at the right time with the information on hand.
Work on multiple campaigns where applicable to ensure you meet the necessary targets.
Plan the sales day to ensure all work in completed within the time period assigned.
3.4 Product Knowledge and Interpersonal Sales Embodiment
Ensure 100% compliant and understanding the product suite at OA and constantly take responsibility in updating oneself on new products.
Have strong attentive listening, questioning and engaging skills to connect and build trust with the customer / students.
Connect with the student through persuasive voice projection and being confident in influencing the student in their selection of course.
Have professional behaviour with the student and with the team to embody the characteristic of the student advisor who is a brand ambassador to OA.
3.5 Communication and Collaboration
Foster open and transparent communication within the team and across departments.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts to meet customer needs and achieve sales targets.
Idea generation and trend analysis in communicating to the team leads and managers if we pick up customer trends proactively.
3.6 Administration
Administration and Systems:
Send correct information via the necessary communication medium to the student
Check approval against EMC and accuracy of data to 100% compliant
Compile weekly and monthly reports as needed for all the activity on the portfolio.
All administration functions required of the role including excellent presentations and slide deck to Corporate Clients.
Be 100% compliant with POPIA training.
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum 5 years in a Sales role with a track record of achievement of 100% of performance targets consistently.
Demonstrable digital literacy skills, intermediate skills in the use of productivity tools such as MS Office 365 , OneDrive ,& other
Working in a call Centre or customer service environments
Working in a target driven environment
Telephone Etiquette and voice projection to connect with the student
Grade 12 and a postgraduate qualification in Sales and Marketing or Business (at Degree level or a bachelor's degree in business / education or a cognate discipline is an advantage).
