Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or relevant field.
3 xe2x80x93 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in an HR function.
Intermediate MS Office skills.
Legislative knowledge to ensure effective HR administrative functions.
Experience with HR systems, SAGE 300 is advantageous.
Valid driverxe2x80x99s license and own vehicle is advantageous.
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for HR compliance within the company, and to act as support to the daily operations of the Factory and HR department. As an HR Generalist you will develop, offer advice and implement policies and procedures within CLIENT Spec
Recruitment and Onboarding
Follow recruitment policy and procedure including preparing advertisement, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, background and corresponding with Recruitment agencies.
New employee orientation as per take-on checklists and training plan.
Loading new employees onto SAGE 300 and timeous submission of take-on documentation to Payroll.
Performance Management
Oversee and manage a performance review system.
Manage new employee performance probation period.
Develop and maintain performance development or improvement plan to address the performance gap if an employee does not meet the required performance level.
Monitor and maintain Succession Planning.
Employee Relations / Industrial Relations
Advise Managers, Supervisors on correct measures to use when taking disciplinary action against subordinates.
Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances and/or other issues.
Coordinate disciplinary enquiries including, preparing and distributing the notification, ensuring all parties are informed and taking minutes of the enquiry.
Represent the Company at CCMA as and when required.
Coordinate and chair monthly Shop Steward Meetings.
Attend to Union (Textile Union) queries and act as contact person on behalf of the Company.
Distribute communication from Union to employees and/or Shop Stewards.
HR Strategy
Assist with the implementation of HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
Develop initiatives aligned with HR strategy.
Monitor the progress of HR Strategy.
Reporting
Submit quarterly and monthly HR reports (Headcount, recruitment status, IR Employment Equity etc).
Upload BEE Management Control data and ensure all other elements are updated timeously
Ad hoc reports as and when required.
Collaborate with the HR Manager in recommending and implementation of continuous improvement solutions based on reports and data analysis.
General
Experience in upholding employee morale.
Ensure Employment Equity meetings are held and take minutes.
Administer employee termination process.
Update and maintain Job profiles.
Prepare and distribute notices to the factory.
Support the HR Manager in the implementation of HR projects and initiatives.
