Job Summary
A great mining company in Burgersfort, Limpopo is seeking the expertise of a few Safety Officers to join their growing team of professionals.
Responsibilities
- Development, implementation and management of safety and risk control programmes, as well as ensuring legal compliance and provision of a safety advisory and reporting service to the operational unit or area
- Selects preventative actions for incidents where appropriate
- Selects safety expertise when problems occur
- Stops the operation or workplace if the working conditions are unsafe
- Determines appropriate investigations
- Disciplines employees to agreed parameters and procedures
- Stop work if unsafe
- Grade 12
- Diploma in Safety Management
- Blasting Certificate for Underground Scheduled Mines
- 5 - 7 Years experience in an underground board & pillar mining environment
