Safety Officer

Job Description
Our client in the Boshoek area in need of a Male Safety Officer on a contract basis.
Key Performances areas:
- Set daily, weekly, monthly standards and develop safety policies, procedures and standards
- Determine the cause of accidents and provide associated recommendation's
- Ensure the effective participation of the full-time safety rep, monitor legal compliances.
- Monitor adherence to SHE standard procedures schedule inspections / audits inspections. of workplace and machinery contractor safety management
- Coordinate legal appointments
- Assist with implementing sand monitoring emergency preparedness programmes
- Facilitate risk assessment process
- Grade 12/NQF 4 equivalents
- Trade certificate
- Certificate of competence COMSOC 1 & 2
- Risk management qualification
- Medical certificate of fitness at least 2 years' experience as a Safety Officer within the mining industry
