Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with OSH Act and environmental legislation
- Conduct incident investigations and implement preventative strategies
- Perform HIRA, impact assessments, and update SOPs/SWPs
- Facilitate annual and ad-hoc HSE inductions and staff training
- Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and housekeeping checks
- Prepare for internal and external HSE audits
- Supervise HSE reps and maintain accurate documentation
- Investigate IODs and conduct job hazard analyses
- Attend production, SHEEQ, and HSE meetings
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- SAMTRAC or NDip Safety Management preferred
- 3+ years' HSE experience in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of OSH Act, DIFR, IOD reporting, and safety systems
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication, reporting, and admin skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Able to plan, lead, and build strong internal relationships
