Description:
Hire Resolve's Client, a reputable mining company based in the Northern Cape, is currently looking for an experienced Risk Officer to join their company.Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular risk assessments across mining operations to identify potential hazards and evaluate existing controls
• Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and legal regulations, and report deviations
• Develop, implement, and maintain risk management policies and procedures tailored to mining activities
• Collaborate with various departments to identify operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Facilitate incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence
• Provide risk awareness training and promote a risk-conscious culture among employees
• Maintain a risk register and ensure timely updates reflecting current risk exposures and control measures
• Support emergency response planning and ensure alignment with identified risks
• Prepare detailed risk reports for senior management and participate in audits and inspections
• Analyze data trends to forecast potential risks and propose proactive solutions

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Certificate in Risk Management
• Certificate in ISO Internal Auditing, Introduction to ISO 9001, 45001 & 14001

series of standards * SAMTRAC/COMSOC 1 & 2

• Risk Management ISO 31000 certificate (Advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years' SHERQ experience.
• Valid Driver's License
