PRIMARY PURPOSE / CONTEXT / OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
Our hospitality group is seeking a self-sufficient, independent and energetic Revenue, Sales and Marketing Manager who will be responsible for the full revenue, marketing and sales function at three hotels in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The key responsibilities include driving revenue, developing marketing opportunities, implementing marketing and rate strategies, keeping up to date with competitor and market trends, analysing data etc. The applicant will be part of a 4- man management team based in Rosebank.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Main focus is to drive revenue through direct marketing channels. Implement a marketing strategy and execute accordingly.
Implement an achievable yet competitive rate strategy (rack, corporate and STO rates).
Revenue management selling the right room to the right guest at the right time at the optimal price. Revenue forecasting and data analysis.
Monitor and maintain performance of distribution channels (direct, global distribution systems (GDS), OTAs, hotel metasearch engines.
Identify new opportunities to improve hotels financial outcome.
Source new client leads (corporates) and follow through to accommodate at the hotel (20 x weekly leads). Build and maintain relationships with top clients per market segment.
Ensure all hotels marketing IP is current and relevant.
Manage and maintain hotel databases and send monthly mailers.
Co-ordinate and maintain relationships with immediate suppliers within the node, which could assist with event/value-add creation etc.
Manage all trade exchanges (where relevant) and field advertising requests. Manage the marketing budget, account and invoices.
Manage the upkeep of the hotel website pages and hotels social media profiles.
Implement a Guest Loyalty Program
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

Fundamental understanding of all revenue related matters pertaining to the business, Competent in interpreting data and conducting statistical analysis,
Ability to create and implement marketing / rate strategies, Strong planning, organizational and co-ordination abilities,
Ability to deliver results under high pressure and tight deadlines, Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities concurrently,
High accuracy and strong attention to detail,
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written),
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in Revenue Management / Hotel Management / Business Management
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
2 - 3 years experience in a similar position,
Substantial experience in pricing / distribution / marketing / sales
Experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Adobe, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Experience on Semper or related property management systems would be advantageous,
Experience in the real estate / hospitality sector would be advantageous.
