One of South Africa's leading retailers is on the hunt for a seasoned Business Analyst. The retailer has over 2000 stores which are mainly in South Africa, as well as online channels. Their diverse range of products include apparel, accessories and home-ware.

Role Purpose

• To provide analytically driven solutions and insight that give meaningful information which contributes to sound business decision making process.
• To optimise, identify and implement selected group real estate strategic projects, ways of working & initiatives by driving business improvements, innovation, and efficiency's - communicating these to MD and Divisional Directors.
• Managing initiatives that contribute to strategic objectives within the divisions. In addition, analyse and interpret store performance data to provide guidance on new store openings, revamps, closures, and re locations.
• Thorough interpretation of data, identify data patterns & trends to report on/provide insights that enhance business decision making capability & planning that leads to actionable insights.
• Implement and enforce strict feasibility and process protocols to maximise the efficiency and profitability of new/existing space.

• Tertiary Qualification in IT/BSc (mathematics, statistics, economics) or similar.
• 5 to 8 Years experience in data analytics. Project Management within Fashion Retail or Retail is advantageous.
• An ability to analyse and interpret data. Data Modelling & BI Report development experience, advanced Excel, Tableau and Sequel (SQL)
• Retail, Branding, Sustainability & Energy Optimisation, Lease Management, Space Management, Store performance metrics.
• Someone with high EQ and who has a natural curiosity with unpacking the best operational insights from heavy data sets.
