Retail Properties Manager / Developer - Cape Town.

Our client is seeking an experienced Retail Properties Manager / Developer to join their Properties Department.



This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the retail property landscape and a proven track record in property development or retail property management.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify new retail sites and expansion opportunities in South Africa and neighbouring countries. Negotiate prime retail locations in malls, new developments, or towns on behalf of the company. Collaborate with internal teams to assess and finalize new store proposals. Conduct feasibility studies, including market profiling and merchandise mix recommendations. Negotiate and manage lease agreements, ensuring favourable terms and compliance. Oversee timely renewal of existing leases and ensure adherence to lease conditions. Address and resolve store maintenance issues. Manage landlord-related queries, including lease and account discrepancies.

Qualifications & Experience:

A relevant tertiary qualification (Financial, Legal, Property Management, etc.) is preferred but not essential. Minimum 10 years of experience in retail property development or retail property management.
