Procurement Clerk: Head Office

Main Purpose of the Position

To perform the ordering function for CAB Foods Retail Stores by understanding store needs and maximizing sales through timely and accurate stock procurement. This includes analyzing procurement data, managing relationships and ensuring consistent stock availability.

Key Responsibilities



Daily Ordering & Stock Management



oPlace daily orders for all retail store stock requirements.

oEnsure timely and accurate distribution of stock information.

oMonitor seasonal trends and adjust orders accordingly.

oFollow up on out-of-stock items and back orders.

Reporting & Record Keeping



oDeliver daily and weekly reports including:

oOrders to stores for review

oOrders for picking to the Warehouse/Production

oGAP scan reports

oUrgent orders, back-order reviews and fridge reports

oStock on hand sheets - the review thereof

oOverstocks & slow movers reports

oMaintain accurate and accessible records.

Communication & Relationship Building



oMaintain strong relationships with retail store managers.

oProvide regular feedback to stores and the Procurement Manager.

oCommunicate delivery issues and expected resolutions.

General Duties & Personal Excellence



oAssist during stock takes and overflow calls.

oPerform ad hoc duties as required.

oPractice flexibility and independent work ethic.

oLead by example and maintain professional conduct.

oPractice the 5S methodology: Sort, Set in Order, Standardize, Self-discipline, Sustain.

oTake ownership and ensure smooth departmental operations.

Qualifications & Requirements



oMatric certificate or equivalent (minimum requirement).

oRelevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Retail Management (advantageous).

oMinimum 2 years' experience in retail procurement or stock control.

oStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.

oExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

oProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and procurement systems.

oAbility to work independently and meet deadlines.

oHigh attention to detail and organizational skills.

oTeam player with a proactive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R10000,00 - R12000,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Stellenbosch, Western Cape 7605: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
Experience:

Retail: 3 years (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
