Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Experience

+ Drive sales performance and achieve store targets.
+ Deliver an exceptional customer experience that reflects the Norman Goodfellows brand.
+ Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations with professionalism.

Operations & Compliance

+ Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, liquor licensing, health & safety, and legal requirements.
+ Manage stock control, ordering, receiving, and shrinkage management.
+ Ensure store presentation, merchandising, and promotional displays meet company standards.

Team Leadership

+ Recruit, train, motivate, and manage store staff.
+ Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide coaching and feedback.
+ Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.

Financial & Reporting

+ Manage budgets, expenses, and cost control.
+ Analyse sales data and prepare reports for management.
+ Drive profitability through effective resource allocation and cost management.

Key Competencies & Skills

Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Knowledge of stock management and retail systems (POS, inventory software).

Requirements

Matric/Grade 12 (Tertiary qualification in Retail/Business Management advantageous). Minimum 3-5 years' retail management experience, preferably in liquor, FMCG, or premium lifestyle retail. Proven track record of achieving sales and managing high-performing teams. Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
