This is an excellent opportunity to work with a driven and passionate team focused on providing an incomparable experience. We are looking for a Restaurant Reservations Agent to join the Food & Beverage team.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • To be fully conversant on all services and facilities offered by the Hotel.
  • Ensure guest recognition by communicating their preferences and retain such information.
  • Ensure complete knowledge of outlet menus and F&B offerings to aid up-selling.
  • Assist in F&B outlets as and when required.
  • Ensure accurate records about guestsxe2x80x99 bookings, payments, and any additional information that Hotel staff might need when interacting with the guest.
  • Up-selling, when appropriate, by informing guests of additional services or special packages.
  • Assist & maintain an efficient administration system within the department.
  • Providing support to guests who may need to amend or cancel a reservation.
  • Ensure that you meet and work according to departmentxe2x80x99s Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Actively endeavour to seek and resolve guest complaints, where possible, exercise judgement and escalate it to the manager.
  • Inform other departments and follow up with regards to special instructions / facilities.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism when working through guest issues/complaints.
  • Assist with adhoc duties as and when required by management.
  • Update and distribute weekly internal F&B newsletter.
  • Performing of daily banking duties.
  • Booking internal meetings and functions.
  • Preparing daily internal function sheets and distributing them accordingly
  • Printing of all F&B menus, name place cards and door cards for F&B department including Banqueting
  • Assist Groups and Events co-ordinators with drawing of floor plans.
  • Assist with any F&B admin duties required for the F&B department.
Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree from a reputable hotel school
  • 1 to 2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a similar position preferred
  • Must be able to work shifts, weekends & public holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Professional and pleasant disposition.
  • Quality and customer service driven.
  • Attention to detail pertaining to area of responsibility.
  • Strong interpersonal and telephone etiquette skills essential.
  • Strong and effective communication, problem solving abilities essential.
  • Ability to use Initiative and be proactive.
  • Opera PMS knowledge
