Restaurant Manager
Job Description
The Local is opening a brand new branch in Plett and we are looking for a vibrant Manager to join and lead our team. The Local is a neighborhood coffee shop, focusing on community, good food, great coffee and even better service.
Requirements:
- Live in the area and have reliable transport
- Should be fluent in Afrikaans and English, any other languages will be beneficial.
- Have at least 2-3 years' experience in the hospitality industry in a similar position
- Should have basic food cost and income statement knowledge
- Have experience in POS systems and how the back office operates
- Be able to do restaurant admin: Invoices, ordering, stocktakes, staff rosters, managing the floor
- Should be completely computer literate
- Have knowledge of Health and safety procedures, labour law and standard operating procedures in the restaurant industry.
- Be able to lead the team, and encourage team members to increase turnover
- Should be customer service orientated and have a bubbly personality
- Available November 2025
