Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the restaurant, overseeing staff performance, maintaining service standards, and supporting marketing efforts. This role demands hands-on leadership, a passion for service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations including opening, closing, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep
- Coordinate with the kitchen regarding stock levels
- Manage inventory and supplies effectively
- Monitor and guide staff performance, offering regular feedback
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Ensure a consistently high standard of guest experience
- Address customer concerns and special requests professionally
- Promote a customer-focused culture among staff
- Contribute to marketing efforts to drive traffic
- Manage social media and online review platforms
- Provide support across all areas as needed (serving, cleaning, kitchen)
- Lead by example in attitude, ethics, and performance
- Perform daily cash-ups
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Team-focused leadership style
- Guest-service oriented
- Excellent communicator
- Hands-on and proactive
- 24 years experience in a restaurant management role
- Proven leadership of 22 or more staff members
- Strong customer service and complaint resolution skills
- Knowledge of inventory management, food safety, and health regulations
- Competent in conflict resolution and team coaching
- Computer literate
R14 000 - R17 000
