Job Summary
Position: Restaurant Manager
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Reporting To: Director
Team Size: 6 Waiters
Salary: Monthly Salary: R25,000 Medical Aid: Offered on a 50/50 contribution basis
A leading restaurant in the hospitality industry is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of a well-established venue in Cape Town. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a results-driven individual with a proven track record in managing mid-level restaurants (excluding fine dining). The ideal candidate will be passionate about service excellence, skilled in team leadership, and dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities:

• Oversee all front-of-house operations and ensure seamless daily restaurant performance
• Supervise and lead a team of 6 waiters, ensuring excellent customer service
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance
• Handle stock control, ordering, and supplier coordination
• Ensure hygiene, health, and safety standards are adhered to
• Resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently
• Monitor daily cash-ups and financial records
• Work closely with the Director on operational improvements and cost control.

Requirements:

• Transport: Own reliable transport required
• Education: Matric (Grade 12)
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Restaurant Manager in a similar type of restaurant.
