Job Description
Education and Experience:
- A minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Previous customer service or restaurant experience.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and interpersonal.
- Friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Basic organizational skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- May involve some light lifting (e.g. moving chairs or menus).
- Greeting guests warmly and professionally.
- Managing reservations and waitlists.
- Escorting guests to tables.
- Coordinating with servers and kitchen staff for smooth operations.
- Answering phones and taking reservations.
- Maintaining cleanliness in the front-of-house area.
