Guest Greeting & Welcome:

Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide a friendly first impression, and direct them to the host stand or waiting area.

Reservations & Seating:
/strong
Manage the reservation system, accurately record walk-ins, and assign guests to tables to ensure efficient turnover and balance the workload for servers.

p

Wait Time Management:
/strong
Provide accurate wait time estimates for guests and manage the waiting area, ensuring a comfortable experience.
/p

Information & Assistance:
/strong
Answer phone calls, provide information about the restaurant, menu items, and hours, and address general guest inquiries.
/p

Menu Knowledge:
/strong
Have a thorough understanding of the menu, ingredients, and prices to answer guest questions and make recommendations when asked.

Front-of-House Operations:
/strong
Maintain a clean and organized host stand and front-of-house area and ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.

Team Support:

Support the waiting staff by assisting with tasks such as refilling waters, running food, or even bussing tables during busy shifts.

Problem Resolution:

Handle guest feedback and resolve any immediate issues or concerns with professionalism and poise.

Requirements:

Grade 12
/p
p
A formal qualification will be an advantage
/p
p
At least 2+ years' experience in a similar Front of House position
/p
p
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
/p
p
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
/p
p
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
/p
p
Good physical stamina for standing and walking for long periods.
/p
p
Familiarity with reservation software and point-of-sale systems.
/p
p
