Over the past 18 years, our client has played a key role in the affordable housing sector. Operating in 3 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, they have various property funds which invest in, sell and rent out managed buildings. They are currently in the process of initiating their first project in Kenya, which will deliver 250 units in the first phase and is set to break ground in the 4th quarter of 2023 with an additional 150 units in phase two. Whilst all of these 2-3 bedrooms units are being built to sell on to both institutional or private investors, another pipeline project scheduled for 2024 will produce rental stock. To assist with the marketing and sales, as well as rental in time to come, they are looking for a Marketing and Sales Project Manager to be based in Westlands, Nairobi. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing team in South Africa, you will be given a blueprint of similar successful previous campaigns which you will help to localise due to your in-depth knowledge of the Kenyan market. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of marketing plans by building relevant relationships with local suppliers, digital marketing partners and hiring and training a team of sales & leasing agents who will produce the targeted results which you have set. With a total pipeline of 3,000 units to sell or lease over the medium term, team and project management responsibilities will be extensive, and so proven leadership within a sales environment is vital. Duties will include setting sales targets, managing the lead process, researching new marketing tools, managing advert campaigns (television / radio / activations) and billboard placements, compiling and analysing performance reports to ensure delivery of sales & rentals. Whilst the A role of this level requires someone with 5 years of Marketing experience, 3 years Project management experience and the ability to compile and analyse sales and lease reports. Additionally, you will need a valid driver's license and car in order to travel to the site which is 40km outside of the city, alongside a deep understanding of the Nairobi market. Experience in real estate is preferred but not essential.
