Job Description
A well-established engineering consulting firm is looking for the best candidate in the market to join their team. Your experience within Civil/Structural as a Resident Engineer will be key! Your experience in the road side of civil is the best suited experience for these projects!
Requirements:
- BTech/BEng in Civil Engineering
- Must be Professionally Registered (ECSA) PR Eng or PR Tech Eng
- Minimum 10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in Civil and Civil Structural Experience
- Must have worked on South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) projects
- Project Management.
- Contract Administration.
- Monitoring and reporting on the Contractorxe2x80x99s programme and financial expenditure.
- Implement Engineerxe2x80x99s quality control plan and monitor Contractorxe2x80x99s quality control plan.
- Site audits, inspections, quality control testing, approval, rejection of work.
- Measurement and certification of completed work inclusive of cash flow forecasts.
- Regular site meetings with Contractor, Employer and Engineer and keeping of minutes.
- Issuing of site instructions, variation orders, drawings, etc.
- Compile reports and as-built data in accordance with the Employer's standard requirements.
- Strong communication and people relation skills.
- A suitable candidate must have a valid driverxe2x80x99s license and own vehicle and must be willing to travel.
- Proficient in Windows Office (Excel & Word as a minimum).
