Job Description


Job title: Reservations team member (maternity leave contract with potential for permanent employment)
Location: Westlake, Cape Town (Hybrid working option available)

Contract duration:
Temporary position: Starting as soon as possible, covering maternity leave until the incumbent's return in August 2024.
Potential for permanent employment: Based on an evaluation in June, considering the individualxe2x80x99s contribution to the team and the business case for the position at the time.
Purpose of the position: To convert inquiries from multiple sources to profitable guest check-ins, and to offer thorough guidance on our remote properties' unique aspects and travel logistics, ensuring clear and realistic understanding before arrival.

Responsibilities:
Receive and process all booking inquiries.
Handle complex booking inquiries collaboratively with colleagues, discussing capacity, rates, and quotes.
Maintain responsiveness to enquiries, including every second weekend for critical replies.
Uphold efficient, clear communication with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Requirements:
Experience: The first prize is those with tourism reservations experience. Also, open to candidates with backgrounds in administration or communication with a customer-service component.
Technical skills: Aptitude for learning new software is essential, with a preference for those familiar with reservation or property management systems. This position uses Nightsbridge as a channel manager, and Panstrat as a property management system.
Availability: Ability to respond to inquiries during flexible hours, maintaining adequate mobile coverage for seamless communication.

Skills and aptitudes:
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Proficient in using email, documents, and spreadsheets.
Detail-oriented with an administrative mindset.
Proactive in following up to ensure task completion.
Ability to inject fun and care into communications.
Energised by dealing with a diverse range of people.
