A fast growing firm specializing in renewable energy, construction, and Independent Power Producer (IPP) services seeks a dynamic Renewable Project Manager to drive solar and power infrastructure projects across South Africa and international markets. The company is committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in delivering cutting-edge energy solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree/National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 8+ years' experience in project management within the power/energy sector (solar, substations, transmission/distribution)
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and professional registration (ECSA, SAIEE, SACPCMP) advantageous
- Proficiency in MS Project, CAD software, and financial acumen (budget forecasting, P&L)
- Fluent English (French highly advantageous for African projects)
- Managing a 1MW PV Solar Farm project (from conception to commissioning)
- Leading multidisciplinary teams (engineers, contractors, stakeholders) and mentoring junior engineers
- Conducting feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations for solar and grid projects
- Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards (ISO/IEC/SANS/BS)
- Identifying business opportunities in the power sector and supporting tender processes
