Job Description

Malander is seeking a driven and strategic Regional Sales Coordinator for a client operating in the Western Cape & Southern Cape region. This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional with strong agricultural or agri-tech knowledge, proven leadership capabilities, and a track record of driving sales performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding market presence, leading regional sales activities, and promoting advanced agricultural drone solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Planning & Strategy

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and grow market share.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies where needed.
  • Identify and engage new sales agents, distributors, and partners to expand the regional network.
  • Proactively strengthen the sales pipeline by sourcing and onboarding suitable talent.
  • Provide ongoing reporting, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Team Leadership
  • Recruit, onboard, and train sales team members, agents, and distributors.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and motivation to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement development or improvement plans.
Sales Execution
  • Drive adoption of agricultural drone solutions through targeted initiatives.
  • Plan and implement product demonstrations, field days, and promotional activities.
  • Oversee sales activities to ensure revenue and activity metrics are consistently achieved.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agribusinesses, cooperatives, and industry stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular client visits to assess needs, provide solutions, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Coordinate after-sales support to strengthen customer experience and retention.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track and analyse sales performance, providing regular reports to management.
  • Monitor regional budgets, profitability, and expense controls.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments.
Sales Forecasting & Budgeting
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and manage regional budgets effectively.
  • Ensure profitability targets and budget expectations are consistently met.
Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Identify and implement enhancements to improve sales processes and performance.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for sales agreements, warranties, and service contracts.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • BCom in Business, Marketing, or Agriculture.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Sales Account Manager, ideally in the agricultural or agri-tech sector.
  • Valid unendorsed driver's licence.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of local market trends and precision farming practices.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
  • Drone RPC licence or agricultural drone spraying experience is advantageous.
