Qualifications required:

• Degree in Business Management, Commerce, Engineering or similar field of study.
• Post graduate qualifications are beneficial.

Skills and experience required:

• At least 2 - 3 years experience in an operational or commercial management position with a strong sales background.
• Industry experience within the automotive retail, trucking after sales, automotive components or commodity trading is required.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office and Excel
• Insight and knowledge of African retail market place and industry trends, developments and initiatives
• Sound knowledge of sales processes in the retail environment
• Additional language; French - highly advantageous
• Prepared to work on Saturday mornings
• Proven track record of sales performance or results and other achievements

Job description:

• Formulate and implement company strategy in this region
• Develop and implement business plans that optimises current markets and drives growth into new local markets to increase and maximise profitability
• Maximise on new and existing business opportunities
• Manage customer relationships
• Maintain company corporate governance
• Report to the Country General Manager
• Lead and develop regional team
• Drive performance and effectiveness
• Responsible for regional revenue generation, fixed and variable costs, profitability
• Ensure stock is delivered on time and in cost effective manner
• Review and manage implementation and execution of warehouse policy
• Support financial department
• Ensure HR policies are adhered to in compliance with internal policies and labour law
• Regular branch and customer visits
