Job Summary Requirements:

  • 5+ years current experience as a Regional Manager in the FMCG Retail Industry (Massmart, Checkers, Pick & Pay and Dis-Chem specifically).
  • 5+ years Current experience in generating and maintaining relationships with sales leads in (Massmart, Checkers, Pick & Pay and Dis-Chem specifically).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in business administration, management, or a similar field preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have own Reliable Vehicle (not older than 3 years) / Valid Driver's License / Laptop and Smart Phone.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and administrative skills are required.
  • Good interpersonal and client liaison skills are required.
  • Willing and able to work extended/ flexi hours if and when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and without supervision.
  • Be proactive and innovative.
  • Strong Leadership Skills.
  • Must be assertive, honest, professional, and reliable.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
  • Support the learning and development of the sales team.
  • Develop and execute sales strategy through market analysis.
  • Collaborating with senior executives to establish and execute a sales goal for the region.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets for your area of responsibility as communicated to you by the National Sales Manager / CEO.
  • Developing specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term.
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
  • Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, and merchandising techniques.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Educating sales team with presentations of strategies, seminars, and regular meetings.
  • Reviewing regional expenses and recommending improvements.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Acts as a trouble shooter for underperforming stores and work with the store team to turn this around.
  • Responsible for ensuring all stores within the region achieve their sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
