The Regional Director - Africa is a senior commercial leader responsible for the full ownership and performance of the
Africa region. This role combines revenue generation with strategic leadership, ensuring robust sales execution while
optimising the organisational structure of the regional Revenue Organisation. The Director will lead and mentor a high-
performing team of Sales Executives and Account Managers, drive regional business growth, build and maintain
relationships with key partners such as Visa and Mastercard, and represent the company at industry events across the
continent.
The Regional Director will also act as a senior escalation point for Elite customers, ensuring strategic engagement and
satisfaction at the highest level.Your daily adventures include:Regional Leadership & Strategy

  • Own and drive regional sales, growth, and market penetration strategies aligned with the business global objectives.
  • Lead the design and refinement of the regional Revenue Organisation structure, ensuring scalability, clarity of roles,
and efficiency. * Represent the Africa region at a senior leadership level internally, reporting on performance, market opportunities, andorganisational health. * Serve as a visible and influential leader within the region, both internally and externally.Commercial & Sales Execution
  • Take ownership of complex Elite sales cycles, including RFPs, ensuring a high-quality, tailored approach to large
enterprise prospects. * Drive pipeline development and accurate forecasting, informed by regional market trends and commercial insight.
  • Expand its footprint as a leading issuer processor by deepening relationships with key stakeholders across Africa,
including global payment schemes.Customer Leadership
  • Act as the key executive sponsor and escalation point for Elite clients in the region, ensuring proactive engagement
and issue resolution. * Guide the Account Management team to deliver consistently high-value client experiences and long-term growth.Support contract negotiations and strategic account planning. * Team Management & Talent DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop a diverse team of sales and account management professionals across multiple African
markets. * Identify and nurture leadership potential within the team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, andcontinuous improvement.Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations to align regional commercial initiatives with
global strategy. * Ensure local market feedback informs global product development and marketing efforts.Industry Engagement
  • Represent the business at key regional conferences, workshops, and thought leadership forums.
  • Build a strong network with payment schemes, FinTechs, banks, and other ecosystem players across Africa
RequirementsWhat it takes to succeed:
  • 10+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience, ideally within the payments or fintech space.
  • 5+ years leading regional teams with a strong record of performance and people development.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles and enterprise client relationships.
  • Experience working across multiple African markets with an understanding of local business environments.
  • Deep understanding of the African payments landscape, including regulatory, cultural, and commercial dynamics.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of building and scaling B2B revenue organisations.
  • Proven expertise in complex solution selling within the fintech or payments industry.
  • Financial fluency in budgeting, forecasting, and business modelling.
  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively at C-suite level.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • xe2x80x8bResilient, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to work cross-culturally and lead distributed teams.
