Refrigeration Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on refrigeration systems, particularly ammonia-based systems.
Troubleshoot, repair and service refrigeration equipment to ensure continuous operation.
Monitor and maintain HACCP compliance throughout refrigeration processes.
Assist with improving the efficiency and reliability of refrigeration systems.
Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards and SARACCA regulations.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.

Minimum Requirements:

N2 Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Valid Trade Test as a Refrigeration Technician
Ammonia Refrigeration Certificate
Registered Category B Ammonia Gas Practitioner (SARACCA)
2 to 4 years experience in refrigeration maintenance, preferably in a food processing or cold storage environment
Working knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
Ability to work shifts and perform standby duties as required
