Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of Refrigeration Operator reporting to the Service Superintendent. The positions will be based in Delmas .
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• Responsible to operate the Refrigeration plant, main water supply, air compressors and boreholes, as well as servicing and maintaining cold rooms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure an effective availability of Refrigeration services and all outside plant rooms.
• Inspecting, maintaining and operating Refrigeration cold store equipment and freezing tunnels as well as all refrigeration equipment.
• Safety and Housekeeping
• Air compressor operation and inspections.
• Main water supply tanks and borehole operations and inspections.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

• Be in possession of Ammonia Certificate Cat A

• Must be registered with SAQCCG.

• Person with experience will do 3 months on the job training.

• Previous food experience will be advantageous.
