Job Overview: Refabulous Plumbing - Part-Time Licensed Plumber

Refabulous Plumbing, a reputable plumbing service provider in Cape Town, is seeking a skilled and licensed part-time plumber to join our team. We specialize in residential plumbing installations and maintenance, including showers, baths, geysers, and tap fittings.

Part-Time Licensed Plumber

Location:

Cape Town, Western Cape

Key Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including water, drainage, and gas systems, in both residential and commercial properties. Diagnose plumbing issues and provide accurate solutions in a timely manner. Ensure that all plumbing installations and repairs meet the requirements of the Plumbing Industry Registration Board (PIRB) and local building codes. Complete detailed service reports, including the accurate recording of materials, time spent on site, and work performed. Perform inspections and regular maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues and ensure safety and efficiency. Respond promptly and professionally to emergency plumbing situations. Collaborate with team members and clients to develop and implement effective solutions for complex plumbing issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and clear communication with clients. Stay up-to-date with plumbing industry trends, codes, and best practices. Ad-hoc duties as and when required.

Requirements:

PIRB accreditation is mandatory. Minimum of 3+ years of proven plumbing experience. In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation, repairs, and maintenance. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plumbing codes. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship on every job. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments. Good understanding of safety protocols and compliance with local regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional plumbing certifications or trade qualifications. Experience with both residential and commercial plumbing systems. Familiarity with new technologies and innovations in the plumbing industry.
