Job Description


An exciting and challenging opportunity, based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, has just become available for a Recruitment Specialist.

We are looking for a resilient, efficient, and influential individual with effective interpersonal skills to effectively manage the recruitment process in partnership with HR and Line Management.

This position for Recruitment Specialist, reporting directly to the HR Manager, is an exciting and challenging opportunity that will require the successful candidate to provide recruitment support that enables efficiency in the recruitment process within the Support Centre HR Team through ownership of the advertising, sourcing, screening, and long-listing of candidates across all departments and job grades. To partner with HR Generalists in the shortlisting, interviewing, psychometrics, and offer stages of the process.

Qualifications

  • A 3-year tertiary HR Qualification (Human Resource Management/Industrial and/or Organizational Psychology.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge required:
  • Sound understanding of recruitment best practices
  • A working knowledge of the latest Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Knowledge and experience on HRIS systems would be advantageous
  • Sound knowledge in HR and Payroll administration processes
  • Skills required:
  • The ability to be resilient, have tenacity and maintain high levels of drive and initiative under pressure
  • The ability to influence across various levels and functions within the business
  • Customer service focus both internally and externally and ensuring good interpersonal relationships
  • Excellent language skills (verbal and written) in English.
  • Be able to work independently, as well as be a team player
  • Good judgment together with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within, as well as outside the company
  • Exceptional planning, organising & time management skills
  • Experience required:
  • Essential:
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant HR Administrator
  • 2-3 years recruitment experience
  • Preferred:
  • Previous relevant recruitment experience within a retail environment
Key Responsibilities
  • Providing input into the functional people plans, implementing action plans and delivering on HR projects related to the business, HR, or functional strategy
  • Driving the recruitment & section process in portfolios in line with EE targets for all relevant positions
  • Compiling, maintaining, and analysing HR information & statistics to optimize decision-making and meet all administrative, reporting, and legislative requirements. Ensure appropriate record-keeping for employee relations and performance management
  • Advise line managers on all remuneration & benefits related matters. Advise employees on benefits and remuneration (including package structuring)
