In this role, you will support our UK-based client within the construction and engineering sectors, helping identify, engage, and manage top-tier talent. Youll work alongside experienced recruiters to build strong talent pipelines and deliver exceptional candidate experiences.This is a fantastic opportunity to gain international recruitment exposure, work with a collaborative team, and develop your skills in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCandidate SourcingIdentify qualified candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, social media, and other sourcing platforms.Use Boolean search and other sourcing techniques to improve candidate reach and relevance.Candidate ScreeningReview CVs to assess suitability for roles in construction and engineering.Conduct initial phone interviews to understand candidates experience, availability, and career goals.Database & Compliance ManagementMaintain and update candidate records in the recruitment CRM.Ensure all data is accurate and compliant with GDPR and relevant data protection regulations.Market Research & MappingKeep up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and sector developments within construction and engineering.Identify and map key talent pools and competitor organisations.Job Posting & AdvertisementAssist in crafting and publishing engaging job ads.Optimise adverts to attract the right talent for specific construction and engineering roles.Candidate EngagementBuild and maintain relationships with active and passive candidates.Provide regular updates and ensure a positive recruitment experience.Interview CoordinationSchedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and the UK recruitment team or hiring managers.Provide support for both virtual and in-person interviews as needed.Reference ChecksConduct reference checks and compile feedback reports for submission to recruiters.Administrative SupportAssist with administrative tasks such as document handling, calendar management, and reporting.Talent PipeliningProactively source and nurture candidates for current and upcoming hiring needs in construction and engineering.CollaborationWork closely with recruiters to understand client needs and candidate profiles.Provide regular updates on sourcing progress and candidate engagement.Technology & ToolsUse recruitment platforms such as Bullhorn and other sourcing tools.Maintain accurate records and optimise the use of recruitment tech.Candidate Assessment & Onboarding SupportConduct pre-screening assessments or basic evaluations where required.Support onboarding by coordinating paperwork and communications with successful candidates.Diversity & InclusionContribute to inclusive sourcing strategies and promote diversity in candidate selection.Learning & DevelopmentStay current on recruitment best practices, industry insights, and tools.Take part in training and seek opportunities for continued professional growth.What Were Looking ForPrevious experience in a recruitment, resourcing, or talent support role is beneficial.Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone.Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.Familiarity or interest in the construction and engineering sectors.Tech-savvy with good working knowledge of recruitment tools and databases.Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative team player.Why Join Us?Work on exciting recruitment projects for a UK client in the construction and engineering space.Build your international experience while based in Sandton.Join a supportive team with real opportunities to grow and contribute.Gain exposure to a dynamic, fast-moving sector where you can make a real impact.If you're looking to grow your career in recruitment and want to work on international projects in a thriving sector apply today!
