Job Description


Our client in the Training industry is currently looking for a Recruitment and Host Site Officer, in Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote learnerxe2x80x99s adherence to the terms and conditions of the Employment Agreement.
  • Accurately update the database of host sites on a weekly basis.
  • Adhere to the Companyxe2x80x99s Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Attend branch and project meetings as and when required.
  • Attend client meetings with the Project Managers on workplace hosting if necessary.
  • Attend meet and greet meetings with the project team, sales team and client, when required.
  • Communicate and liaise with Project Managers and sales team on the progress of recruitment.
  • Communicate with all Project Managers on requirements of the different host employers regrading: Attendance Registers; Absenteeism; Training Schedules; Annual/Sick/Other Leave; Work being completed.
  • Contact various companies and Non-Profit Organisations (NPOxe2x80x99s) to secure workplace for unemployed learners on Learnerships and/or Skills Programs.
  • Ensure all host site agreements are completed correctly and filed accordingly.
  • Ensure all learners that require host sites are placed within one month of receiving handover from the seta team or as per the project deliverables.
  • Ensure collection of registers or any written assessment tools supplied by the employer or training provider, to record relevant workplace experience.
  • Ensure host sites always have work for the learners to complete that is relevant to their qualification.
  • Ensure records are kept up to date for learner, staff and self.
  • Ensure results are captured on the Recruitment Database and saved accordingly on the company's share-drive.
  • Ensure shortlisted candidates are sent to clients by submission deadline.
  • Ensure the company's workplaces are professional, treating learners as any employee of a Company with regards to achieving targets, weekly meetings, adhering to workplace hours etc.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the exit level outcomes of the learnership that the learners are attending.
  • Familiarise oneself with the company's product offerings to source the correct host sites in which to place learners.
  • Meet with the host sites to establish hosting suitability in line with qualification outcomes.
  • Monitoring attendance of learners and urgently informing the client of red flags issues with regards to attendance.
  • Monitoring the completion of the learner logbooks.
  • Negotiate rates and agreements with potential host sites if applicable.
  • Oversee the learner recruitment process.
  • Problem solving ability is key, identify the root causes through questions and apply the appropriate interventions to address and solve problems.
  • Promote learnerxe2x80x99s compliance with workplace policies and procedures.
  • Request outstanding host site/supplier documentation if required.
  • Schedule interviews with shortlisted successful learners.
  • Source external recruiters and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO's) that specialize with disabled applicants.
  • Understand all related legislative and SETA processes relating to the learnerships of the hosted sites.
  • Update management reports where necessary.
  • Visit all host sites monthly to discuss attendance, mentoring, completion of logbooks, learner progress, disciplinary issues etc.
  • Visit host sites on a monthly basis in order to assess and address project status in terms of compliance, progress, quality and standards thus ensuring successful completion of the learners placed in a hosted environment.
  • Coach, mentor and guide the Recruitment Coordinator.
  • Undergo MIE check training in order to facilitate necessary checks such as fingerprints, ID and certificate.
  • Perform any other reasonable request as directed by management.
Requirements:
  • Matric plus relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a similar role.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Very good Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
  • Very good communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Valid driverxe2x80x99s licence and own reliable vehicle.
  • Experience working in the Training industry.
  • Previous experience in Learnership Recruitment.
  • Previous experience in recruitment of disabled learners.
  • Management experience of a small team.
  • Familiar with and able to use social media as an advertising medium e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp etc.
  • xe2x80x8bxe2x80x8bxe2x80x8bGood knowledge and understanding of the recruitment process.
Remuneration:
  • R300 000 xe2x80x93 R420 000 per annum.
