Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Reconciliation Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records through timely reconciliation of bank, ledger, and transactional accounts. This role plays a critical part in supporting financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, clearing accounts, and internal ledgers. Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring all variances are documented and corrected promptly. Collaborate with front office, operations, and treasury teams to ensure accuracy of trade and transaction data. Maintain reconciliation schedules aligned with month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare and submit reconciliation reports to management with clear commentary on outstanding items. Assist in implementing process improvements and automation within reconciliation activities. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Support external and internal audits by providing reconciliation documentation and responding to audit queries. Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis or projects as required by the finance team.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 3-6 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on reconciliations preferred. Experience in financial services, banking, or back-office operations is an advantage. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAGE ERP is preferred.
