• Develop; Evaluate and Test innovate products and solutions within the R&D department for Saint-Gobain a.b.e.
• Help to reduce RMP; align formulations and systems and support their implementation in cooperation with the purchasing and industrial teams.
• Evaluate and Test new and existing raw materials used in the formulations to optimise performance; costs and strategy alignment.

• Matric
• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemistry/Chemical or Material Sciences
• Minimum of 1 year in a relevant R&D environment preferably cementitious.
• Computer Literacy - MS Word; PowerPoint; Excel etcxe2x80xa6
• Knowledge of Construction markets within the Saint-Gobain Construction Products' profile will be an added advantage.

• Assist R&D with project development, new product development, existing product development and raw material evaluation
• Input formulations in CompuChem and ACCpacc as per development work conducted
• Assist in coding of raw materials
• Assist with maintenance of the GHS library of products and write-up MSDS using software
• Successfully work in collaboration with cross fuctional project teams to implement improvements in the plant
• Serve as the interface for R&D, QC and Manufacturing staff to drive operational and innovation goals
• Responsible for setting up and running pilot scale experimental testing using appropriate safety guidelines consistent with safety practices
