- Research and development into minerals beneficiation reagents by:
- Executing natural polysaccharide related research and development projects
- Performing modification of natural polymers experiments
- Developing new products and optimize existing product lines
- Providing technical support and polysaccharide know-how to departmental stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
- Assisting with the scale up of new processes to pilot and plant scale
- Technical assistance to production teams during plant trials or troubleshoot plant conditions
- Assess the produced products as depressants on various minerals in micro-flotation tests
- Preparing technical reports and presentations to senior management and peers
- Ensure adherence to good laboratory practices
- Literature surveys and information gathering
- Matric / Grade 12
- Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree in Chemistry
- Excellent academic performance in final year in Organic Chemistry /Polymer Science
- A minimum of two years in polymer research
- A minimum of two years in a research and development environment
- Fully Computer Literate
