Job Description
Minimum Qualification:
- Diploma in QS/Building or BTech/BSc QS
- 3+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying or a similar role in the residential construction industry.
- Monitor project progress and costs, identifying and reporting any variances from the original estimate.
- Site measuring for progress valuations
- Prepare progress valuation documentation and invoices for completed work for approval by the head QS
- Review and manage variations to the project scope, ensuring cost implications are understood and approved.
- Understanding of construction materials, costs, and specifications.
- Analytical skills to estimate quantities and costs for construction projects.
- Knowledge of building regulations and industry standards.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
- Communication skills to liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Attention to detail in reviewing project plans and specifications.
- Negotiation skills to obtain competitive prices for materials and services.
- Proficient in cost estimating software (e.g., CCS QTO, WinQS).
