3+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying or a similar role in the residential construction industry.
Responsibilities
Monitor project progress and costs, identifying and reporting any variances from the original estimate.
Site measuring for progress valuations
Prepare progress valuation documentation and invoices for completed work for approval by the head QS
Review and manage variations to the project scope, ensuring cost implications are understood and approved.
Required Skills:
Understanding of construction materials, costs, and specifications.
Analytical skills to estimate quantities and costs for construction projects.
Knowledge of building regulations and industry standards.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
Communication skills to liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors.
Attention to detail in reviewing project plans and specifications.
Negotiation skills to obtain competitive prices for materials and services.
Proficient in cost estimating software (e.g., CCS QTO, WinQS).
