Overview / Description
The position is for a Professional Quantity Surveyor at a multi-disciplinary consulting firm. The successful candidate will form part of the Quantity Surveying department and will have regular interaction and collaboration with the Architecture and Engineering departments.
Requirements
- BTech or Bsc degree in Quantity Surveying
- Professional Registration
- 6 to 10 years working experience
- Valid driver's license
- WINQS
- DIMX
- Review and evaluate design documentation
- Prepare preliminary & detailed estimates
- Formulate bills of quantities & contract documentation
- Financial evaluation of tenders
- Administer cashflow forecasts, cost reports, variation orders, valuations, contractual claims, etc.
- Prepare & negotiate final accounts
- Attend meetings
- Formulate, review and analyse repair estimates
- Prepare viability studies, damage costings & determine value at risk
- Liaise and cooperate with multi-disciplinary teams (Project Managers, Architects, Engineers & Quantity Surveyors)
- Interpersonal communication skills
