The Company is looking for a self-driven Quantity Surveyor to join the team. The ideal candidate is expected to perform the expected QS Functions

The successful applicant will fulfil all the necessary requirements with regard to the operational activities and will manage main contractor building contracts directly.

As the Quantity Surveyor - Projects - you will be involved in the full lifecycle of the project, preparing
estimates and cost reports whilst tracking any variations and movements in turnover/profit.

Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma: Quantity Surveying or B.Tech in Quantity Surveying (NQF 7)
• At least 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in a similar Project/Built environment.

• Sound knowledge of MS Office.
• Use of CAD in order to export information for BOQ requirements.
• In addition, understand CAD to WinQS conversions.
• Excellent planning, organising, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Office Administration based on Office Operational requirements.
• Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise and focus on deliverables.
• A motivated self-starter who takes a proactive and solution-driven approach.
• Evidence of achieving deadlines in a demanding environment.
• Procurement: Skills in selecting and acquiring materials, services, and subcontractors, including negotiating contracts and evaluating suppliers.
• Contract Management: Knowledge of various contract types (e.g., FIDIC, NEC) and proficiency in administering contracts, including understanding legal terms, clauses, and obligations.
• Cost Management: Ability to estimate, budget, and manage costs throughout the project lifecycle, including cost control and cost forecasting.
• Quantity Take-off: Proficiency in accurately quantifying materials, labour, and resources required for construction projects based on architectural and engineering plans.
