Minimum Requirements



Grade 12 National Diploma in Engineering or Quality Management Trained IATF 16949:2016 & VDA 6.3:2016 Auditor Minimum 5 Years in Automotive/Manufacturing experience

Duties & Responsibilities



Quality Assurance




Implement Quality Procedures and Work Instructions Maintain the Quality Assurance system Ensure compliance of Quality Policies, Procedures and Work Instruction

Supply quality Assurance (SQA):




Interact with all suppliers Supplier Audits Approvals of all PSW/PPAP for new projects/ ECR's items by following APQP process Analyse Supplier performance (Product quality, Special Status, etc) and make recommendations Manage supplier related non-conformances and initiate corrective actions

Audits



Conduct internal 1st party Process audits (VDA 6.3:2016), System Audits (IATF), Supplier Audits, Product / Dock audits

Quality Control:




Establish and manage critical control points in the process Investigate all Quality non-conformances and track corrective actions Manage and maintain the Quality Management System ensuring that it complies with all applicable requirements. Develop and approve Quality procedures, Work Instructions, etc Analyse the PPM's and defect trends and make recommendations

Continuous Improvement:




Maintain an updated Continuous Improvement Plan

People Management:





Ensure an enabling climate/culture

Obtain approval for and recruit and select employees in the area of responsibility Manage individual, team and departmental performance to achieve organisational objectives Ensure discipline is maintained in department (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct) Compile and update Performance Contracts and Individual Development Plans and facilitate individual career part planning Determine the training needs of the department Conduct performance reviews and manage sub-standard performance Coach and counsel people to ensure improvement performance levels * Resolve grievances and disputes
