Quality Manager (chemical Processing)

Job Description
Our client, an international leader in the processing and blending of emulsions and petroleum bi-products, seeks to employ a well qualified and experienced Quality Manager for their plant in Durban.
Please note that we do require a candidate with a background in chemical, emulsion or petroleum bi-product blends and processing, coupled with a qualification in chemical engineering and quality management.
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION
- You will have completed a tertiary qualification in chemical engineering or related, coupled with a certification in Quality Management and a minimum of 8-10 years in quality and lab management.
- You will have a proven track record in the implementation and adherence of ISO 9001, as well as international and local legislation with regards to chemical processing and safety.
- You will have a solid background in drafting, implementing, leading and championing uniformed quality policies, procedures and guidelines across multiple plants.
- You will have exceptional communication skills, be organized and have a proactive approach to promoting the highest quality standards across the group.
- You must have experience in mitigating risk, investigating incidents, conducting audits (internal and external), as well as liaising with customer to resolve problems and non-conformances
- This role does require travelling between 3 processing plants, therefore, flexibility to travel, often at short notice, is essential
- You must have a valid driverxe2x80x99s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
