Quality Engineer - Western CapeJob SummaryDemonstrate a thorough comprehension of aerospace industry standards, customer specifications, and quality requirements for composite materialsExamine and endorse well-defined and robust inspection instructions to guarantee the fulfillment of customer expectations across various stages, including incoming, molding, intermediate, and final inspectionsOversee the processes necessary to certify and release components to customers in accordance with their requirementsProvide evidence of compliance with customer demands through the use of a compliance matrixComplete First Article Inspections (FAIs), source inspections, and coordinate customer inspections as necessaryConduct post-project assessments to capture valuable lessons learned for future improvementTake responsibility for internal concession approval and closureInitiate and conclude customer concessions in a timely mannerFacilitate Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) as part of the quality control process Skills & Experience:Proficiency in operating within a multi-project setting involving diverse clienteleDemonstrated capability to engage on a global scale, interacting with individuals from varied cultural backgroundsComprehensive knowledge of manufacturing encompassing the design, certification, and production requirements for aerospace productsExpertise in AS9100D and POA Part 21G is highly desirableProficiency in composite design and manufacturing processes is a fundamental requirementA minimum of three years of experience in the manufacturing industry is a mandatory qualificationMastery of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and proficiency in measurement techniquesFamiliarity with SAP and 1Factory or equivalent systems is advantageousAbility to perform tasks that may involve extended periods of walking and standing, work in environments with dust and noise, and exposure to both raw materials and finished productsWillingness to undertake domestic and international travel for supplier and customer visits Qualification:Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution (or similar) Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered Contact SHAWN VELDTMAN on 021 418 1750, quoting the Ref: CTE024440.
