Job Description

Our client in the component manufacturing industry requires and experienced Quality Engineer reporting into the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:-

• Ensuring products supplied to customers are according to required specifications and quality standards
• Facilitate, manage and control APQP & PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans and Process Flows
• Develop, review and implement procedures and work instructions (incl. inspection instructions)
• Updating master samples register and management of calibration systems
• Proactive in developing a high level of customer confidence
• Drive customer concerns and internal PPMxe2x80x99s through 8-D process
• Facilitate and co-ordinate BeOn Submission (ISIR/PPAP/RMT/BMW PPAP)
• Conduct product, process and EMS system audits
• Effective issuing, follow-up and closure of CARxe2x80x99s
• Monitor, track and control suppliers (SPPM)
• Monitor, manage and support containment actions (internal and third party)
• Facilitate and co-ordinate reporting (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Monitor and track company Targets & Objectives (KPIxe2x80x99s)
• Conduct 1st off checks in productions areas
• Verify daily Weld analysis tests
• Liaise with CMM Lab for measuring reports and take actions for out of spec conditions
• Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings
• Do SPC xe2x80x93 monitoring (mini-tab)

• National Diploma: Quality
• 5 yearsxe2x80x99 quality assurance experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of IATF16949 Quality Management System & VWSA; BMW; Ford; Nissan quality requirements
• Advanced problem-solving techniques (8-D)
• Personal attributes: strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivator, resilient, ability to work under pressure.
• Own transport required
