Industrial Quality Engineer: Electro-Mechanical environment

Cape Town (Observatory)

Minimum requirements and working experience:

BTech or BSc or BEng (Industrial engineering or Quality or similar).
Extensive working experience in a quality engineering or QA environment in a Electro-Mechanical product development and manufacturing company.
Electro-Mechanical product implementation, monitoring and audit of Quality Management System.
In-depth understanding of industry market trends and conditions and quality standards, including ISO 9001
MS Office
High-proficiency in computer technology and system operations.
Exposure to ERP Systems
Exposure to statistical and design software.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the overall quality of products and services
Strategic planning and stakeholder relations
Design, develop and document the Quality System
Document control
ISO 9001 and ISO 14000
Quality Audits
Cost of quality
Product and process design: design inputs and review; technical drawings and specifications; Design verification
Product and process control: measurement and testing; acceptance sampling.
