The manufacturing plant in Port Elizabeth produces both small and large volume parenterals.

The purpose of this position is to do sampling and controlled assessment of all incoming components, material and printed packaging.

• Sampling and controlled assessment of all incoming components, material and printed packaging through either physical test measurement or visual examination
• Completion of an incoming component and printed packaging evaluation check sheet before commencing with the evaluation
• Liaise with QC Manager with regard to specification amendments and changes as well as specification deviations and correct actions to be taken (approval or rejection) of all incoming components after evaluation or testing
• Generating defective reports for any non-complying incoming components and printed and packaging material
• Liaise with Procurement Department and WHS Pharmacist for the defective components, and printed packaging materials to be physically returned back to the supplier
• Release of satisfactory and compliant components, consumable materials (gases, printing foil, gloves, filters etc) and printed packaging materials on Syspro
• Label application of all approved raw materials, components, consumable materials and printing and packaging
• Assistance in investigation to customer complaints when our product failed from the market e.g. arrange for the retention samples to be available for retest, re-evaluate of amps, vials, rubber stoppers, seals, shippers etc. when there is uncertainty with compliance to our specification
• Responsible for filing and record keeping of approved components and printing and packaging material
• Prepare month end reports for all problems we encountered in the month with regards to components non-compliance and the number of rejects per each month
• Be part of stock taking team at all times when there is stock taking
• From time to time, carry out other jobs within the factory /department, consistent with the grade qualification and training of the incumbent.
