Position Overview:

Full-Time Opportunity: Our client offers a full-time position, complete with office space, IT and telephone support, and a patient base of approximately 40 individuals. It's a fantastic chance to embark on a fulfilling career or expand your existing practice.

Part-Time Opportunity: For those wanting to maintain their own practice, you can work 2 to 3 days a week at the recovery center, allowing you to balance your professional commitments effectively.

Payment: Billing Medical Aid directly, ensuring a smooth financial process.

Patient Diversity: You'll work with a diverse range of patients, providing an engaging and rewarding clinical experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose and treat mental health and addiction disorders.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans that encompass medication management, individual and group therapy, and evidence-based interventions.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
• Offer consultation and educational support to other healthcare experts as required.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary.
• Uphold a professional, ethical, and compassionate approach in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
• Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards.

Job Requirements:

• Qualified Psychiatrist with HPCSA registration.
• Previous experience in addiction and mental health settings.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong collaborative ability as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Compassionate and nonjudgmental in the treatment of clients.
