Provincial Graphic Design Assistant Western Cape (fixed Term)

Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing marketing material required by the Province for use across a range of platforms, including, but not limited to:
- Print leaflets, flyers, newsletters, posters, newspaper articles
- Digital graphics for social media
- Archiving of design work
Minimum requirements:
- Tertiary qualification related to graphic design
- 1 year of experience in a graphic design role
- Experience using design software packages, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and InDesign
- Knowledge of relevant trends and best practice
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom
- Creativity
- Attention to detail
- Time management
- Multi-task
- Manage multiple deadlines
- Adapt and handle criticism
- Fast learner
- Use initiative and work well in high-pressure situations
- Be outcomes-orientated, not simply task-orientated
- Work independently
- Apply sound judgement

- Willingness to go the extra mile, which may include working long and irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays where necessary
