Purpose of the Job

To develop base network development and network management strategies and to effectively manage the resources (people, capital and assets) to achieve ROTA through investment practices that delivers returns within agreed hurdle rates, and contribution to Engen's profitability.

What you'll have done before:

Baseline:

• NQF Level 7 (Degree in Engineering/ Property Development/ Town Planning / Law)
• 10 years experience in Property Development within O&G industry, and proven management experience
• Expert knowledge of project evaluation tools and experience in finance, budgeting and contracting/construction
• Understanding of regulatory, town planning & legal affairs with expert knowledge of real estate contracts
• New Site and Base development experience essential

Advantageous:

• Strong and proven negotiation skills
• 2 years Engineering Reliability experience

What you'll be doing:

STRATEGIC ASSET MANAGEMENT

• Develop and maintain a focused base network development strategy
• Ensure that returns meet or exceed benchmarks for Engen
• Maintain standards as required to ensure compliance
• Develop and maintain a focused SOT strategy
• Ensure SOT database is maintained
• Ensure that the opportunities and risk assessment processes are managed

PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT & SUPPORT

• Develop site targets and programmes
• Ensure asset utilization and alignment with strategy
• Manage capital spend and maintain investment guidelines
• Ensure effective utilization of investment tools
• Review project proposals and engage in negotiations for upgrading of existing sites
• Ensure that site feasibility is assessed

CONTRACTOR & INTERFACE MANAGEMENT

• Manage contractors and relevant legal processes
• Manage a Retail Property team of experts
• Drive compliance and safety with contractors to minimise exposure at site occupation
• Ensure that agreed SLA's in place
• Entrenched business relationships with key stakeholders
• Efficient contact network established
