My client, based in Germiston area, is looking for an experienced Project Safety Engineer. Degreed, with Project Management qualification and preferably GCC or registered as PrEng with experience of EEM processes through TPM/WCM.
Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Electrical preferable)
• PMP or similar Project Management certification
• GCC or registered as a PrEng/PrTech
• Working knowledge of Early Equipment Management processes through TPM/World Class Manufacturing

Functional skills

• Excellent level of English both written and spoken
• Working knowledge of SAP and MS Office
• Ability to prepare and communicate financial information for business justification

Experience required

• Experience working in an industrial environment in PM function role for minimum of 3 years
• Excellent technical knowledge of machine operations, electrical requirements and design thinking
• Extensive experience in managing machine safety protocols in line with OSHA and South African standards
• Proven track record overseeing projects such as Machine Safety and LOTOTO projects ensuring site compliance and operational safety
• Excellent communication skills being able to understand customer requirements, and translate into solutions through capital expenditure
• Proficient in conducting risk assessments, detailed site audits and inspections to mitigate hazards effectively
• Able to monitor and control all project KPIs throughout the lifecycle of the project so as not to deviate from pre-approved thresholds

This role will be pivotal in safeguarding both personnel and equipment by ensuring rigorous compliance with machine safety, OSHA requlations and company standards. By integrating safety best practices and regulatory requirements, the manager will support the company's commitment to excellence and risk mitigation. This role may also require some national and occasional international travel.
