We're a specialized Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering high-trust IT infrastructure and support to accounting and financial services firms. Our clients depend on us to implement secure, compliant, and efficient technology solutions that support their business-critical operations--especially during tax season and financial reporting periods.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to coordinate and oversee infrastructure projects including cloud migrations, Microsoft 365 deployments, UniFi network rollouts, and server upgrades. Need's to be able to talk the talk.

About the Role

As our Project Manager, you'll serve as the bridge between clients, engineers, and vendors, ensuring that every project runs on time, within scope, and according to our high standards. You'll manage technical deployments for tools such as Microsoft 365, Windows Server 2022, and Azure--specifically tailored to accounting firms using apps like QuickBooks, CCH, and Thomson Reuters CS Suite.

Key Responsibilities

Own the project lifecycle from kickoff through delivery: planning, scoping, resource allocation, scheduling, and stakeholder communication

Coordinate internal engineering resources and third-party vendors to execute:

o Microsoft 365 tenant rollouts

o Azure cloud migrations

o UniFi network installations (remote and on-site)

o Windows Server 2022 builds and RDS environments for tax platforms

Interface directly with CPA firm stakeholders, IT staff, and firm leadership

Develop and maintain project documentation: Gantt charts, technical summaries, timelines, and change logs

Conduct post-implementation reviews and implement continuous improvement practices

Ensure client satisfaction, security compliance (GLBA, IRS Pub. 4557), and technical standards throughout project execution

While this is not a hands-on engineering role, familiarity with the following technologies will help you communicate effectively with both clients and engineers:

Core Technologies

Microsoft 365: Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Azure AD

Windows Server 2022: AD DS, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, RDS, file shares

Cloud Infrastructure: Azure IaaS, Azure AD Join/Hybrid Join, Azure Files, site-to-site VPNs

Networking: UniFi gateways, switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi deployments, remote access

Backup & DR: Azure Backup, Veeam, or similar solutions

Security Standards: GLBA, IRS Publication 4557, MFA, endpoint hardening

Accounting-Specific Applications

QuickBooks Desktop/Online

CCH Axcess, CCH ProSystem FX

Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite (UltraTax CS, GoFileRoom, FileCabinet CS, Fixed Assets CS, Practice CS)

Drake Software to name a few

Qualifications

5+ years of IT project management experience, ideally in an MSP or IT services environment

Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent infrastructure projects

Hands-on experience managing and documenting projects using Autotask Project Management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences

Experience working with CPA firms or finance-sector clients strongly preferred

Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and UniFi ecosystems strongly preferred

Proficiency with IT Glue for standardized documentation, asset management, and SOPs

Preferred Certifications

PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certifications

Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals / M365 Fundamentals

CompTIA Project+ or similar

Familiarity with GLBA, SOC 2, and IRS compliance frameworks
