Project Manager Ship Repair Division
Job Description
Analyse scope of work and ensure that each project meets contractual expectations and is carried out to conform to quality and safety standards o Ensure all specifications from clients are recorded and communicated o Monitor projects to ensure timely delivery while maintaining high standards and cost effectiveness o Co-ordinate with various departments and sub-contractors to achieve targets in line with project plan o Perform project cost control and scheduling on ERP-system o Ensure accurate and timeous completion and submission of all invoices o Ensure that all legal requirements are adhered to o Oversee and assist with project estimation o Maintain good relations, interact and negotiate with local Port Authorities, Clients and Agents o Maintain and update current Client and Agent database o Pursue new business and secure tenders o Control of branch stock & assets o Reporting on branch work-in-progress as well as performance
REQUIREMENTS o Relevant technical qualification o 5 years Supervisory and/or Project Management experience within a Ship Repair environment o Candidate must be willing to travel both locally and offshore at short notice o Candidate must be willing and able to work independently o Excellent verbal & written communication skills o High level of regard towards customer services o Good working knowledge of IACS regulations o Organisational, co-ordination and negotiation skills essential
