The NOV Aftermarket Group is currently recruiting for a Project Manager - Repair to join our team in Gqeberha, South Africa. The role offers the opportunity to be part of a professional, dynamic team, responsible for supporting our customer operations based in Sub-Saharan Africa.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful execution the repair projects you control. Control projects within the Repair Facility and outside vendors, from the release of work orders until its completion, ensuring that all projects will be delivered on-time, within budget and to the quality standards by following all NOV specifications.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and update work scopes, Quality Plans, routers, and work packs.
Schedule and lead meetings to initiate and manage work orders.
Maintain and update BOMs and routers in the ERP system.
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and certifying authorities as needed.
Create and approve purchase requisitions for outside services.
Monitor production and service progress, resolving any issues impacting timelines or budgets.
Communicate with the scheduling team regarding lead time changes.
Support and guide technicians with technical queries and component dispositions.
Ensure compliance with the Global Repair Business Process Alignment (BPA).
Attend customer meetings and assist in resolving client complaints.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 12 with a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing, Heavy Engineering, or Project Management.
Knowledge of Drill Floor Equipment and/or Pressure Control Equipment is advantageous.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with NOV systems such as RigDoc, Tracker, RigOffice, Team Centre, and ERP (Glovia).
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials.
